Key qualifications & desired experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license (OT) in the state of Ohio
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to plan and implement individual and group therapy sessions
- Capable of managing a caseload and maintaining documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset
Primary responsibilities:
- Evaluate students referred for occupational therapy and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students as specified by their IEPs or 504 plans
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ functional and academic success
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in meetings and parent conferences as needed
- Assist with adapting classroom environments, instructional materials, and daily activities to foster student participation
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy
