Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in New Jersey
- New Jersey Department of Education School Certification
- Experience supporting school-aged children, ideally K-12, with a range of mild to moderate disabilities
- Ability to work onsite and travel between two nearby schools
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to different school cultures
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to IEP goals for students across grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure holistic support
- Rotate between two school locations (2 days each), optimizing student progress
- Maintain and update student documentation, progress notes, and evaluations
- Participate actively in multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Provide guidance on adapting classroom activities for students’ diverse needs
