Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license (CO)
- Previous practice in school-based OT, especially with elementary and middle school students
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and goal setting
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, caregivers, and other specialists
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop evidence-based intervention plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and small group settings
- Collaborate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and advocating for student support
- Assist in modifying classroom materials and routines to promote participation and inclusion
- Maintain timely documentation and progress reports strictly following school policies
- Offer consultative support to teachers and families, sharing strategies for carryover in daily activities
