Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience in a school setting or with pediatric/young adult populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Compassionate and adaptable; eager to support diverse student needs
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement evidence-based interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students onsite
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess students’ functional abilities and recommend strategies or accommodations to support participation
- Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and case records in compliance with regulations
- Advocate for student access to tools and environments needed for learning success
- Communicate regularly with families and staff to support generalization of skills
