Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and goal writing
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for students referred for OT services
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to student support strategies
- Collaborate with educational teams to help students succeed in classroom environments
- Provide direct intervention services and support the development of fine motor, sensory-processing, and daily living skills
- Maintain thorough and timely records of student progress, attendance, and service delivery
- Educate staff and families on strategies to reinforce therapeutic goals throughout the school day
