School Occupational Therapist - Dekalb, Illinois

Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Illinois
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
- Foundations in sensory integration and proven ability to set and monitor progress on educationally relevant goals for school-aged children
- Comfortable working with students of varying ages and needs, adapting strategies as required
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy services across two nearby school sites (one site per day—no intra-day travel)
- Assess student abilities, set individualized goals, and document progress clearly
- Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to foster student learning and independence
- Support mostly general education and resource classrooms, with involvement in select self-contained special education rooms
- Maintain communication with families and staff as needed to ensure student success
