You’ll join a network of school OTs working onsite with elementary and high school-aged students in both resource and self-contained settings. Benefit from a comprehensive orientation process, starting with in-person training on August 3 and 4 before students arrive on August 31. This assignment runs through October 27, 2026, full-time at 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to make a true impact right from the start.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with eligibility to practice in Illinois
- Strong background in school-based OT services for elementary and high school levels
- Experience working in resource and self-contained classrooms is preferred
- Effective communicator and team collaborator
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to participate in professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students in resource and self-contained programs
- Conduct thorough assessments and maintain documentation using provided testing materials
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in monthly meetings, roundtable discussions, and performance reviews
- Utilize the organization’s intranet platform for real-time connection and resource sharing
- Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance best practices
