Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Current Occupational Therapy license issued by the state of Illinois
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Solid communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students according to individualized education plans and goals
- Assess students’ functional skills and develop tailored intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, aides, and families, to ensure coordinated care
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing strategies, and adaptive functioning for academic success
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for student planning and advocacy
