Occupational Therapist School Setting in Downingtown, PA

Step into an impactful role supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year. With opportunities available to work with either an elementary or high school caseload, you’ll help students develop essential skills, foster confidence, and reach academic and personal milestones. Starting in August, you'll join a dedicated special education team providing vital services in a school-based environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of designing and implementing therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to manage a full caseload and maintain organized documentation
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services within an educational setting
- Evaluate students’ functional levels and develop measurable IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers and other therapists to integrate therapy strategies throughout the school day
- Monitor student progress, provide timely updates to IEP teams, and adjust treatment as necessary
- Educate staff and families on techniques to reinforce goals beyond therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations and district standards
Both the elementary and high school positions are full-time contract jobs, providing the chance to specialize your expertise while contributing meaningfully to students’ growth. Start dates are in August, offering a seamless transition into the new academic year.
