What you'll bring:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Virginia
- Experience or strong interest in school-based OT services
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations, school staff, and families
- Capability to manage both direct therapy and consultative caseloads
- Readiness to initiate a VA Dept. of Social Services check and complete a TB test promptly
What you'll do:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to a caseload of approximately 25 students, primarily at two middle schools, with potential for an elementary school addition
- Provide individualized interventions for 10 students needing direct services while supporting 15 students through consultation
- Conduct evaluations as needed throughout the academic year
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and district leadership to ensure positive student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all district policies and credentialing requirements
This assignment is fully confirmed for the entire school year, beginning in early August and continuing through May. The part-time schedule offers approximately 20 hours per week, and there is flexibility to design a work schedule that complements your other roles or personal commitments.
