Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP processes and school-based service documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage students, families, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted occupational therapy services to K-12 students, focusing on enhancing their school participation and independence
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other school professionals to support student learning and success
- Maintain detailed documentation to comply with school district and regulatory requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering expertise and guidance to support student goals
- Serve as a resource for adaptive equipment and strategies to facilitate classroom engagement
This position offers $40–$50 per hour, determined by experience and qualifications, for the duration of a full academic year contract.
