School Occupational Therapist | Eden Prairie, Minnesota
An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist interested in working with elementary students in a supportive school environment. Based near Bloomington, MN, this position runs from August through December 2026, with a commitment of 20 hours per week. You’ll work directly at one school campus, following a 3:1 service delivery model—offering intervention for groups and individuals without caseload management responsibilities. Supervision of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is included in the role.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Minnesota
- Experience (or strong interest) in school-based occupational therapy services
- Able to supervise and support COTA in therapy goals and practice
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with school staff, students, and families
- Knowledge of best practices in a school OT setting, especially the 3:1 service delivery model
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to elementary students based on assigned caseload
- Collaborate with teachers and student support teams to enhance student participation and success in educational settings
- Supervise a COTA while maintaining compliance with all regulations and standards
- Complete evaluations, document services, and track student progress as required
- Engage in team meetings and professional development as needed
