School Occupational Therapist - Elgin, Illinois

Beginning August 12, 2026, and extending through November 3, 2026, this role offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Prior experience in pediatric settings, with preference for those who have worked in school environments
- Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Comfort and skill working with early intervention and elementary-aged children
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Assess students' needs using appropriate tools and develop targeted intervention strategies
- Deliver direct therapy services individually and in small groups, addressing fine motor, sensory, and functional skill development
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each child’s educational goals
- Maintain timely, accurate records and contribute to IEP development and meetings
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
- Serve as a resource and advocate for student accessibility and inclusion within the school environment
