Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ participation in educational activities
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and reports
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in classroom, small group, and one-on-one settings
- Participate in IEP meetings to provide clinical insight and progress updates
- Adapt interventions and strategies to meet the diverse needs of the student population
