Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license valid in Illinois
- Prior experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Knowledge of sensory integration, fine/gross motor skills, and adaptive strategies for school settings
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and IEP processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary school students with diverse needs
- Assess, evaluate, and develop individualized treatment plans in line with IEP goals
- Work closely with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic interventions into the classroom environment
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings with parents and multi-disciplinary teams
- Create supportive, engaging sessions tailored to student abilities and developmental levels
