Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT licensure in Virginia and up-to-date clearances for school-based work
- Previous experience in a school environment, ideally serving K-12 students
- Confidence in supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Strong skills in assessment, progress monitoring, and individualized treatment planning
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored occupational therapy services to students across K-12
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Supervise, mentor, and support two COTAs in the daily delivery of services
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to ensure successful intervention strategies
- Maintain required documentation, track student progress, and adjust plans as needed
- Foster a supportive learning environment where students can develop fine motor, sensory, and life skills
