Key Responsibilities:
- Provide school-based occupational therapy services to students with physical, developmental, or sensory challenges
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress toward IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy inside classrooms, resource rooms, or via teletherapy
- Partner with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support students in all learning environments
- Offer home health OT services as needed to assist students in transferring skills to daily life at home
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP and eligibility meetings for each assigned student
- Mentor and guide other therapy staff, including COTAs in the school setting
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience with school-based OT, healthcare, teletherapy platforms, and home health services preferred
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children
- Familiarity with IEP documentation, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision-making
- Flexible approach and the ability to travel within the local area if required
