School Occupational Therapist | Fall River, Massachusetts
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an onsite Occupational Therapist in an educational setting. Starting as soon as possible and running through November 2, 2026, this short-term leave coverage offers consistent weekday hours and valuable experience working directly with children and school staff.
In this position, you will work a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a half-hour unpaid lunch built into your schedule. Your skills as a school-based OT will have a daily impact as you deliver engaging, effective therapy to students who need your expertise most.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid OT license in Massachusetts
- Experience or comfort working in a school environment
- Familiarity with school-based documentation and IEP processes
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators and presenting findings
- Ability to conduct thorough evaluations and write comprehensive reports
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Perform evaluations to determine students’ functional abilities and therapy needs
- Create, write, and present detailed reports and recommendations
- Collaborate with school teams, parents, and staff to support each student’s success
- Maintain accurate records and documentation per school and regulatory guidelines
