An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OTR) to support students across various needs in a school-based setting. This position is suited for professionals who are passionate about helping students thrive academically and functionally. The assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, with a weekly full-time schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of North Carolina
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy practice
- Knowledge of evaluation, intervention planning, and collaborative treatment strategies for students in a school setting
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to manage a varied caseload with professionalism and creativity
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ needs for occupational therapy services in collaboration with educational teams
- Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plans aligned with student objectives
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to support student engagement, participation, and independence within the school environment
- Maintain documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to enhance student outcomes
This opportunity offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week from August 11, 2026, through May 21, 2027, working alongside supportive staff and administrators in a dynamic educational environment.
