Occupational Therapist School Setting in Felda, FL

Make a meaningful difference in K–12 education as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting students across Hendry County. This school-based, contract opportunity focuses on serving students’ diverse needs, working in multiple schools with travel across the area. Sites will be assigned over the summer, and your expertise will help foster student success and participation in all aspects of school life.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Florida required
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with school staff, students, and families
- Comfortable with a mobile workday and willing to travel regularly to various locations within Hendry County
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective interventions for K–12 students
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to a K–12 student population
- Conduct assessments to develop and update individualized therapy goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administration to integrate therapy goals into IEPs and educational planning
- Deliver interventions designed to enhance students’ participation and performance in school activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to district and professional standards
- Participate in student support meetings, trainings, and professional development
- Adapt strategies to address a variety of needs, ensuring equitable support for all assigned schools
