Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Texas
- Prior experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric and adolescent development
- Skill in adapting therapies to meet individual student needs and IEP goals
- Clear communication and collaborative abilities with teachers, families, and staff
- Professional and compassionate approach to supporting children in educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments of students referred for occupational therapy
- Develop, implement, and update individualized therapy plans based on student goals and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to integrate therapy into the classroom
- Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students
- Educate staff and families on strategies and accommodations to assist students
