Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license/certification in VA required
- Strong background in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
- Experience working with K-12 students of varying needs and abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to individual goals and educational requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions targeting functional skills, fine and gross motor development, and adaptive strategies
- Evaluate students’ progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update IEPs, ensuring student success in academic environments
- Provide support and training to teachers, paraprofessionals, and families regarding therapy strategies
- Engage in problem-solving and creative interventions tailored to diverse student populations
