In this role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to promote student success, using your clinical skills and creativity to address diverse needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in North Carolina
- Strongly preferred: Demonstrated experience in school-based Occupational Therapy
- Thorough understanding of pediatric, developmental, and educational frameworks
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff
- Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting to changing environments and requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, in accordance with IEPs and school guidelines
- Assess and document student abilities, needs, and progress utilizing standardized tools and professional judgment
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student development
- Guide teachers and caregivers on classroom strategies and accommodations
- Maintain compliance with all policies, regulations, and confidentiality standards
- Participate actively in meetings, team discussions, and ongoing professional development
Role Details:
- Contract assignment, with anticipated dates ASAP through May 21, 2027
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Onsite-only position, ensuring hands-on student engagement
- Immediate start, placement location to be finalized
- Special requirement: Previous school-based OT experience is highly recommended
