Two openings are available for skilled Occupational Therapists eager to make a positive impact, with positions located in the Phoenix and Peoria areas. In this onsite-only setting, you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering student independence and participation through tailored occupational therapy services.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Arizona
- Experience with school-based OT preferred
- Comfortable working with K-12 caseloads, from diverse backgrounds and varying abilities
- AZ IVP fingerprint clearance card strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals
- Strong communication, adaptability, and documentation skills
- No COTAs will be assigned; candidates must have capacity to independently manage a caseload
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to K-12 students, in alignment with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, interpret results, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Develop and adjust individualized therapy plans to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely records of services and progress
- Consult with educational staff and families to support classroom modifications and carryover strategies
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
The workday is structured as a 7.5-hour onsite shift, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the school environment and contribute meaningfully to the educational community. With two locations available, you can select a setting that best suits your background and preferences.
