Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT licensure in Oregon (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs and IDEA compliance
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Ability to work independently and manage a part-time caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations for students referred for OT services
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to students’ needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs
- Document sessions, progress, and maintain accurate records according to district standards
- Support teachers with classroom modifications, behavioral strategies, and adaptive equipment
- Provide consultation and training to staff and parents, fostering carryover of strategies
