School Occupational Therapist - Hampton, Virginia

We are currently seeking contract Occupational Therapists to provide support to K-12 students for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, itinerant position serving multiple schools, where you’ll play a crucial role in evaluations, direct therapy, and participation in IEP meetings.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience delivering OT services in a K-12 school setting
- Comfortable with traveling between assigned schools (itinerant position)
- Prior experience conducting evaluations and delivering direct therapy
- Ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to IEP meetings
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Must be able to complete fingerprinting and onboarding requirements prior to start
- Availability to work a full school year contract (August 11, 2026 – May 29, 2027; 37.5 hours/week)
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families during IEP meetings
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations
- Travel to multiple school sites as part of an itinerant OT team
