You’ll collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff, helping students develop the life and academic skills they need. The position spans the 2025-2026 academic year, offering two openings with a steady, school-based schedule totaling 35 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid New York OT License is required
- Experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations is strongly preferred
- In-depth understanding of occupational therapy principles as applied in educational settings
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organization skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to K-12 students in individual and group settings
- Collaborate in developing and implementing IEP goals in coordination with educational teams
- Monitor student progress, documenting outcomes and maintaining compliance with state/federal guidelines
- Consult with staff and parents, offering recommendations for accommodations and classroom strategies
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads as details are finalized
