Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy certification required.
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working with students across grades K-12 (ages 5-21).
- Specialized experience supporting autism spectrum disorders is highly desired.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to various student needs and collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services tailored to individual student needs.
- Assess and evaluate students’ motor, sensory, and functional skills, creating and implementing individualized therapy plans.
- Collaborate with special education teams to develop, monitor, and revise IEP goals.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records throughout the academic year.
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student achievements and strategies for classroom and home success.
- Support transitions and functional skill development, ensuring students have the tools they need for educational and daily life tasks.
