Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license required, or eligibility to practice as an OT in the state
- Strong background in school-based OT services
- Thorough understanding of IEP processes, goal setting, and progress documentation
- Experience developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
- Skilled, experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs/OTAs) may also be considered
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluate students’ strengths and areas of need within the school setting
- Develop, update, and implement IEP goals to foster students’ educational and developmental progress
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy interventions for students in group and individual sessions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school psychologists, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate results with families and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions regarding student needs and services
