This engaging position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across elementary, middle, and high school sites in the area, collaborating with dedicated educational professionals.
Three positions are available, each with a specific focus: a split role between Lancashire and Maple Lane Elementary, a placement at Mount Pleasant Elementary, and a split role covering both Middle and High School populations. You’ll work closely with students to help them develop skills necessary for academic and social success, all within a supportive and structured school environment.
Key qualifications:
- Active Delaware Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous experience in school settings highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a school caseload independently
- Prepared to complete necessary background requirements, including $85 CBC fingerprinting
- Must be able to work onsite; remote options are not available
- COTA applications cannot be considered for this role
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and other service providers
- Maintaining accurate documentation for compliance and progress tracking
- Participating in IEP meetings and student support teams
- Promoting student independence and maximizing participation in the school environment
This role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, following the academic calendar. As an onsite Occupational Therapist, you’ll have the satisfaction of helping children succeed while working in a collaborative setting.
