Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid OT licensure in the state
- Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably with elementary and middle school students
- Proven skills in assessing, planning, and implementing therapy services within a charter or public school context
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, other therapists, students, and families
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for developing reports, IEP documentation, and therapy plans
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, targeting their educational and developmental needs
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ eligibility and therapy requirements
- Develop individualized education program (IEP) goals in alignment with school teams
- Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to support classroom adaptations and student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the school and state regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents, school staff, and team members to monitor and adjust intervention strategies
