Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida Occupational Therapist license
- Medicaid provider number required
- Previous experience in school or pediatric outpatient settings preferred
- Knowledge and skill in working with children on pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, writing delays, and high-functioning autism spectrum
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation abilities
- Ability to engage in collaborative care with interdisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual sessions, seeing one child at a time
- Assess, evaluate, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide targeted therapy for children with delays or autism, supporting communication, daily living, and academic skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions
- Adapt approach based on each child’s unique needs and progress
- Track and document intervention outcomes and client progress
- Maintain compliance with Medicaid and regulatory standards
