Key Qualifications:
- Current Florida OT license
- Active Medicaid provider number
- Experience in a school or pediatric outpatient environment
- Strong background in delivering therapy for children with mild to moderate developmental, language, and pragmatic delays
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders, especially high-functioning autism
- Comfortable providing both assessments and direct therapy services
- Skilled in reading and writing intervention strategies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy to a pediatric caseload—ages 2 through 18—focused on communication, pragmatic skills, reading, writing, and daily functioning
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations for each student
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans addressing expressive and receptive language as well as social-pragmatic skills
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and Medicaid requirements
