Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEPs, assessments, and therapeutic strategies for school-aged children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student development
- Organizational skills for documentation and caseload management
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assess students’ physical, developmental, and emotional needs within the school setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions based on assessment outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations and supports
- Deliver direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs or 504 plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress
- Educate staff and families about strategies and equipment to enhance student participation
