- Previous experience providing OT services in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of various students in an educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students with a wide range of abilities
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to integrate supports into students’ educational plans
- Maintain accurate records and thorough documentation of interventions, progress, and communications
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in school-based OT
