Desired Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in the state of New York
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and ability to implement individualized intervention plans
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
- Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques for diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to address fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Administer evaluations and interpret results to determine students’ needs
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Educate and consult with school staff and families on strategies to support students within the classroom and at home
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, progress notes, and required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to support student success
