Applicants must hold a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy and possess an active Kansas Occupational Therapist license. Candidates must meet all state and district requirements for employment in a school setting. Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred but not required.

Position Overview
The School Occupational Therapist will support students in developing the functional, sensory, motor, and self-help skills necessary to participate successfully in educational activities. The therapist will collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to provide services that enhance student independence and academic achievement.
Requirements
• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active Kansas Occupational Therapist license
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required district clearances
• Strong understanding of special education services and IEP processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and interventions
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
• Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, visual motor, self-care, and classroom participation skills
