Occupational Therapist School Setting in Kent, WA
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a crucial part of a school-based occupational therapy team. Four full-time Occupational Therapist positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year, offering an impactful chance to work with scholars across a range of ages and needs.
Each therapist serves between 900 and 950 direct service minutes weekly, typically collaborating with 4-5 school sites. This structure ensures a dynamic workweek, providing a variety of experiences in both elementary and secondary settings. In this role, you’ll deliver therapeutic interventions, assess student needs, develop and implement IEPs, and foster positive growth in students’ functional abilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Washington Occupational Therapist (OT) license and ESA credential
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly valued
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Commitment to meeting students’ educational and developmental goals
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations for K-12 students in accordance with state and district regulations
- Develop individualized treatment plans integrated into students’ IEPs
- Deliver direct therapy minutes efficiently across multiple school locations
- Collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families
- Maintain thorough records and progress reports for compliance and quality of care
