Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant in North Carolina
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess student abilities and develop appropriate therapy plans that support academic and functional goals
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students individually or in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate therapy strategies within the classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and progress updates as needed
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and reports according to school policies and standards
- Adapt interventions and recommendations based on observed student progress and evolving needs
