Step into a vibrant pediatric outpatient clinic setting, where you’ll deliver dedicated, one-on-one care to children ranging from 2 to 18 years old, primarily with mild to moderate needs. The caseload is diverse, focusing on challenges related to pragmatics, receptive/expressive language, reading, writing, developmental delays, and autism—most clients presenting as high-functioning.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Florida Occupational Therapist license
- Active Medicaid provider number
- Prior experience or strong interest in pediatric outpatient therapy
- Ability to conduct assessments, evaluations, and develop evidence-based therapy plans
- Comfortable working with children with various needs, including those on the autism spectrum
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive OT assessments and evaluations
- Deliver individualized, hands-on therapy to pediatric clients
- Address skills in pragmatics, language comprehension and expression, literacy, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate and communicate with families and school teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Provide accurate documentation for interventions and outcomes
