You will work closely with educators, support staff, and families to address students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive skill needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active OT license to practice in the state
- Previous school-based occupational therapy experience is strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to organize and manage a full caseload efficiently
- Compassion, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working with school-age children
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs related to fine motor, gross motor, and functional skills
- Develop and implement individualized therapy interventions within the educational setting
- Contribute to the creation and progress evaluation of students’ IEPs
- Work alongside teachers, aides, and families to create strategies that enable student success and inclusion
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress in compliance with required guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and professional development initiatives as needed
