This contract position runs ASAP through June 24 and offers a dynamic mix of experiences, splitting your time between elementary and junior/senior high school environments. You'll begin your day at 8:30 am, providing vital services as part of a collaborative team.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for New York State
- Previous experience delivering OT services in a school-based environment preferred
- Strong skills supporting MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and general education populations
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, delivering up to 8 sessions per day
- Effective communicator and comfortable collaborating with other therapists, including sharing therapy space with a PT
- Organizational skills for efficient scheduling and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy sessions to students K-12, following IEP or MTSS guidelines
- Provide support tailored to both general education and intervention students
- Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and related service providers to maximize student outcomes
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
- Adapt interventions to meet a wide range of student needs
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, student-centered environment
- Flexibility to split time evenly between two school sites and manage daily transitions
