Make an impact supporting K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting as a contract Occupational Therapist. This opportunity offers meaningful work with a diverse caseload of 45 students, allowing you to utilize your expertise to foster student growth and promote independence and participation in school activities.
Work a steady schedule of 30-35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing essential therapy services. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to create tailored interventions that maximize student success from kindergarten through high school.
Desired Qualifications and Credentials:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in North Carolina
- Experience delivering OT interventions within school environments preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Ability to manage a varied K-12 caseload
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to professional ethics and ongoing learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based OT services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain accurate, thorough clinical records and progress notes
- Collaborate with special education teams and participate in relevant meetings
- Provide support for classroom modifications, adaptive equipment, and sensory needs
- Consult with parents and teachers on strategies and resources for student support
- Engage in periodic reassessment and adjust interventions as needed for student progress
