In this role, your clinical skills will be valued as you deliver services to students ranging in age and need, traveling between multiple school sites. As supervising therapist, you'll also have the chance to mentor and collaborate with COTAs, contributing to strong team-based care.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico state licensure (NMRLD)
- NMPED certification through the NM Department of Education (must be obtained prior to start date, process is efficient if begun promptly)
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Ability to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants within the school environment
- Proven skills in providing direct OT services for children and adolescents
- Flexibility to travel between schools within the district
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT assessments, direct services, and consultations for students with varying needs
- Supervise and support COTAs delivering occupational therapy interventions
- Travel between assigned schools, serving students of all grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to foster optimal student outcomes
- Maintain documentation per district and regulatory guidelines
