Occupational Therapist School Setting in Lakeville, MN
Make an immediate impact as you provide vital occupational therapy services to students in grades kindergarten through 8th grade. This rewarding contract role supports a caseload of 18 students, allowing you to dedicate your expertise to each child’s individual growth and success. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week, and begins as soon as possible, continuing through June 5, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for school settings
- Previous experience with school-aged children (K-8), preferably in a school environment
- Strong understanding of IEP documentation and development
- Skill in collaborating with teachers and families to support student progress
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload while providing personalized interventions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans based on students' needs
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and parents to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom setting
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation
- Offer guidance and support for classroom accommodations or adaptations as needed
