Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist eager to make a significant impact in a preschool educational setting for the 2026–2027 school year. This contract position focuses on early intervention and extended school year (ESY) services, supporting students throughout Lower Bucks County, including the Morrisville, Yardley, and Newtown areas. The role follows the local school calendar, with tentative dates from July 6, 2026, to June 11, 2027.
Ideal candidates bring a strong background in providing Occupational Therapy within schools—working with preschool-aged children to enhance their academic and everyday functioning skills. Summer hours are approximately 15 hours weekly, with the possibility of increased hours as additional referrals are received throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapy state license
- Minimum of one year’s experience as a school-based OT (new grads are not eligible)
- Expertise in early intervention and/or preschool-aged caseloads
- Ability to adapt therapeutic activities for varying developmental needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
- Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to travel within the Lower Bucks County region
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to preschool students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and caregivers
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary
- Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and ESY services
