Step into a fulfilling role supporting preschool-aged children as a contract Occupational Therapist in the Lower Bucks County region. Your expertise will be essential in helping young learners develop the foundational skills they need to succeed. This position starts with part-time hours over the summer and will expand as the school year advances, offering both variety and flexibility. The placement supports an Early Intervention Extended School Year (EI OT ESY) schedule, with your work making a real difference in Morrisville, Yardley, and Newtown communities.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure to practice occupational therapy
- Minimum of 1 year of OT experience in a school-based setting (required; this role is not open to new graduates)
- Experience working with preschool populations in educational environments preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to following established school and state protocols
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to preschool students in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate therapy into daily routines and classroom activities
- Complete documentation and contribute to the development of individualized plans
- Adapt therapy approaches throughout the school year as caseloads and referrals evolve
- Participate in professional meetings and engage in ongoing professional development
This opportunity aligns with the school’s calendar, beginning July 6, 2026, and concluding June 11, 2027. Expect approximately 15 hours per week during the summer, with hours increasing when the school year begins and as referrals are received.
