Make a positive impact supporting students by providing occupational therapy services in a welcoming school environment. This rewarding contract opportunity near Lansdale, PA, begins ASAP on a part-time basis (1-2 days per week) and transitions to full-time from October 31st through February 1st, covering a maternity leave. The full-time assignment is scheduled for 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with authorization to practice in Pennsylvania
- Background working in school settings and/or with children preferred
- Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs), evaluations, documentation, and collaboration with educational teams
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and tailor interventions for diverse student needs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines
- Assess student needs, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for accommodations and modifications
- Monitor student progress, adjust therapy goals, and communicate updates to all stakeholders
