School Occupational Therapist - Lebanon, New Hampshire
Step into an influential role supporting students and Occupational Therapy Assistants in a dynamic school environment. As an Occupational Therapist, you will supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), ensuring high standards of care and compliance in a rewarding educational setting. The focus is on direct oversight, mentorship, and collaboration to foster growth and effective service delivery within the district’s public schools. You’ll work on-site, participating as a valued member of a multidisciplinary support system.
Your experience and commitment will help shape therapy services for students while guiding four dedicated COTAs, with each therapist responsible for partnering with up to two assistants. Supervision averages about 7 hours per COTA monthly, for up to 20 hours per month per therapist, making this an excellent contract opportunity for professionals seeking meaningful, flexible school-based work.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active, valid Occupational Therapist license in New Hampshire
- Demonstrated experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
- Background in school-based practice
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to complete required documentation and administrative tasks efficiently
- Collaborative mindset for working with school staff and therapy team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision to assigned COTAs in public school settings
- Oversee and document the supervision process to ensure compliance
- Support effective therapy delivery through collaboration and mentorship
- Maintain accurate and timely supervision paperwork
- Attend on-site visits as needed in the Claremont area
The district offers reimbursement for actual travel expenses to and from the site at the current IRS mileage rate.
