Your flexibility and adaptability will be instrumental, as your daily assignments may span various schools in the region. Assigned sites will be determined over the summer, so a willingness to travel throughout the county is essential. As an integral part of the educational team, you’ll collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design interventions that make a tangible impact.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Florida Occupational Therapist license
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Comfort working with students across K–12 grade levels
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability and willingness to travel daily within Hendry County
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services, assessments, and interventions to students as outlined in IEPs or 504 Plans
- Adapt activities and modify the environment to help students access the curriculum
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Engage with teachers, staff, and families to provide consultative support and training
- Manage a rotating caseload across multiple K–12 campuses as assigned
