In this role, you'll partner with educators, administrators, and families to deliver individualized OT services that foster student growth and independence. Sites will be assigned over the summer, so flexibility and comfort traveling throughout the county are essential.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in school settings highly preferred
- Confidence working with students from kindergarten through high school
- Ability to quickly adapt and thrive in multiple school environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation to visit assigned schools across the county
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to develop and implement effective treatment plans for K–12 students
- Collaborate with teachers and special education teams to maximize academic participation
- Provide direct and consultative OT services in accordance with student IEPs
- Document services, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Promote sensory, motor, and self-care skill development
- Offer support and training to staff and families as needed
