You’ll play a leadership role, providing supervision to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), while collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and support staff committed to student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license issued by the State of New Mexico
- Proven experience with school-aged populations across Pre-K to 12th grade
- Strong skills in both in-person and teletherapy OT services
- Ability to supervise and guide a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students
- Serve students across multiple grade levels, tailoring interventions to a broad range of needs
- Employ evidence-based practices through both traditional and teletherapy modalities
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other professionals to optimize student outcomes
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to a COTA supporting your caseload
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district policies
